I am glad to present you, the newest Petite Fille, Jeanne!

This doll, is extremely dear to me, for she is dedicated to the cherished and beloved memory of my "Beloved Jayne", my friend Jayne Best, that many of us miss very dearly. 

May the road rise to meet you, May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, The rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again,May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

Jeanne's fullset is based on the movie Funny Girl with Barbra Streisand and Omar Sharif, one of my very favorite movies from my childhood, that I absolutely still adore to this day. Jayne told me something one day, and it is related to Funny Girl; where she is, for she still is, she understands why I did that. ❤️

 Jeanne is a young girl from Atlantic city, loving the boardwalk, meeting there often with friends and relatives. But she's not much of a swimmer, her passion is roller skating! Everyone on the boardwalk could hear and recognize the sound of her skates rolling on the planks. Jeanne doesn't care what people think about her, about her tutu that her sister has sewn for her, that she wears all the time to practice for her dream, Jeanne doesn't even care about the dentist rules for her dental braces since she always has in hand a lollipop and is a regular at the ice cream parlors of the boardwalk! She knows, deep in her heart, that even if there are prettier girls, even if she has those long skinny legs, that she will be one day, seeing her name painted in light bulbs on Broadway. So she skates, and she sings top of her lungs all the way through the boardwalk, "don't rain on my parade!" So adamantly, all the time, giving it her everything, with such passion, that her cousin Estelle, a fine swimmer if there is any; convinced her lately to go for an audition in a theater. It doesn't matter if Jeanne trips and falls, it doesn't matter if she's so tired that she has to squat on her skates to catch her breath; it doesn't matter if her smile is temporarily flickering silver sparks because her dental braces; one day, one fine day, she will be the on the stage and people will forget all their sorrows for the time of an evening as she will sing for them. Because, that is Jeanne's true goal : make life lighter, give hope to those who sometimes are weary and cry, like her mother does when she goes to work at the factory.

Jeanne is a slim MSD. She is 16.5 inches tall. She takes 12 or 14mm eyes.

Or as a FUNNY GIRL FULLSET. This fullset is special, because I am felting myself the mulberry silk and tweed from a limited artist fiber blend, for her tutu. Each is absolutely handmade and hand sewn.

They are already in the making at my factory and they will be ready to ship to me in about a month. Therefore, the dolls in this listing, are limited. I offer the dolls I already ordered only. I apologize for that change in the layaway method, which is really going back the old way. But I have to confess that beyond being heartbreaking, it takes a lot of time to process all the orders, a lot of money to invest in producing the dolls and their fullsets to finally discover that some, took a seat from other collectors who are now sad, then didn't even bother to subscribe their paypal layaway nor to answering my numerous emails. I know that the 95% of my collectors who are wonderful and that I cherish so much, will understand the issue and where I am coming from. THANK YOU <3

In the title of each payment you must write your order number and the number of your payment ( 2nd payment, 3rd payment, 4th payment and so on) or if it is your last payment " ORDER NUMBER... LAYAWAY COMPLETE."
